Candidates Elected in Two Constituencies Declare Which One They Will Represent

The Central Election Commission (CEC) announced the declarations made by fourteen candidates who were elected in two separate Multi-Member Constituencies (MMCs) regarding their representation in the 52nd National Assembly. During a meeting on Friday, the CEC Deputy Chair confirmed that these individuals have now specified which constituency they intend to enter. The process involved candidates who were initially elected across two different MMCs.

Following previous announcements detailing thirteen such individuals, the total reached fourteen after one additional candidate finalized their choice. The declarations detail specific shifts in representation. For instance, Alexander Georgiev Pulev chose to represent MMC 27 – Stara Zagora rather than MMC 30 – Shumen.

Other shifts included Ivan Petev Demerdzhiev opting for MMC 9 – Kardzhali over MMC 24 – Sofia, and Rumen Georgiev Radev selecting MMC 25 – Sofia instead of MMC 2 – Burgas. Multiple candidates made adjustments, such as Boyko Metodiev Borissov moving from MMC 16 – Plovdiv to MMC 25 – Sofia. Other noted changes included Delyan Aleksandrov Dobrev representing MMC 24 – Sofia instead of MMC 29 – Haskovo, and Tomislav Peykov Donchev selecting MMC 7 – Gabrovo over MMC 23 – Sofia.

The list of fourteen candidates provided concrete instructions regarding their affiliation among the two MMCs. The CEC stated that it is scheduled to release the comprehensive roster of members for the 52nd National Assembly on Saturday. Furthermore, the commission had previously announced the distribution of seats among various political parties in the upcoming parliament.
