LIK Issue Dedicated to 150 Years Since April Uprising Launches in Koprivshtitsa

The latest issue of BTA’s LIK magazine is dedicated to marking the 150th anniversary of the April Uprising of 1876. This thematic publication from the Bulgarian News Agency examines the uprising through its extensive archives, incorporating historical records and documentation of commemorations held over the years. The magazine features commentary from educators, public figures, and local representatives from the revolutionary districts associated with the event.

The launch of the LIK magazine is scheduled for Monday, April 20, at the St St Cyril and Methodius School in Koprivshtitsa. Director General Kiril Valchev noted that the issue synthesizes discussions held at BTA’s national press clubs and in the centers of the four revolutionary districts. He stated that the discussions emphasized the enduring lessons of the uprising, concluding that despite perceived failures, the movement ultimately contributed to Bulgaria’s freedom.
