He recalled that 150 years prior, revolutionaries rose up to secure the right for all Bulgarians to make their own choices—a right, he noted, that Bulgarians exercised recently.

Gurov emphasized the necessity of remaining vigilant, thoughtful, and vocal when the defense of freedom requires it. In his tribute to the heroes of the April Uprising, the Prime Minister shared a video clip containing a letter from the Bulgarian revolutionary and poet Hristo Botev, addressed to Ivan Grudov, Ivan Kavaldzhiev, and Georgi Stranski.
The address served as a reflection on the enduring importance of civic engagement and the preservation of national rights.
