Municipality to Introduce Temporary Traffic Changes for Giro D’Italia

The Burgas Municipality has announced temporary alterations to the city’s traffic organization in observance of the Giro D’Italia cycling tour, which will take place from May 6 through May 9. According to the municipal press centre, these changes are necessary due to the anticipated presence of the race and participating competitors. To manage the flow of vehicles and pedestrians, the municipality plans to restrict access to several key central streets.

Residents and visitors should anticipate significant adjustments to usual traffic patterns throughout the duration of the event. In an effort to minimize disruption for the local population and guests, the municipality will introduce provisions for alternative parking. Specifically, free buffer parking lots will be made available.

On May 8 and May 9, the right-hand lanes of both Odrin Street and San Stefano Boulevard have been designated as official buffer parking zones. The cycling schedule for the city includes several key dates. The official presentation ceremony for all participating teams is scheduled for May 6 at the Burgas Summer Theatre.

The event progresses on May 8, when Burgas will host the final stage of the first leg of the Giro D’Italia. The tour continues on May 9 with the commencement of the second stage. These temporary measures are intended to ensure the safety and smooth operation of the major international sporting event within the city limits.
