Support 26-1 Military Exercise to Take Place from April 27 to 30

The Logistic Support 26-1 tactical-special exercise is scheduled to take place from April 27 to April 30 at the Todorovo training ground. The central theme of the exercise is the deployment of a convoy support centre designed to facilitate the movement of allied forces within the country. According to the Defence Ministry press service, up to 200 military personnel and up to 50 pieces of equipment from military units under the Logistics Support Command in Sofia and Lovech will participate.

In preparation for the exercise, personnel and military equipment will be transported via the national road network on April 27 and 30, moving from Sofia and Lovech to the Todorovo vehicle depot near Pleven in North Central Bulgaria. Additionally, the region will host movements related to international military activities. On April 27 and 28, military personnel, vehicles, and supplies belonging to the Polish Armed Forces will be transported via the national road network.

This movement is in preparation for their participation in the NATO Tiger Meet 2026 exercise in Greece, with their return scheduled for May 16 and 17 through Bulgaria. Furthermore, between April 28 and May 1, rail convoys belonging to the armed forces of Sweden are expected to pass through the country.
