Support 26-1 Military Exercise to Take Place from April 27 to 30

The Logistics Support 26-1 tactical-special exercise is scheduled to take place from April 27 to April 30 at the Todorovo training ground. The focus of this military drill is the deployment of a convoy support centre designed to ensure the movement of allied forces within the country. According to the Defence Ministry press service, participation will involve up to 200 personnel and approximately 50 pieces of equipment from various military units under the Logistics Support Command in Sofia and Lovech.

In preparation for the exercise, logistics personnel and equipment will be transported via the national road network from Sofia and Lovech to the Todorovo vehicle depot, located near Pleven in North Central Bulgaria, on April 27 and 30. Beyond the domestic drill, the national infrastructure will facilitate movements for allied nations. On April 27 and 28, personnel, vehicles, and supplies belonging to the Polish Armed Forces are scheduled to move via the national road network.

This movement supports their participation in the NATO Tiger Meet 2026 exercise in Greece, with their return journey planned for May 16 and 17. Furthermore, the country will host transit operations for Sweden’s armed forces. Between April 28 and May 1, military rail convoys belonging to Sweden are expected to pass through the nation.

These scheduled movements underscore the country’s role in providing logistical support for international defense cooperation and joint exercise participation.
