The Logistic Support 26-1 tactical-special exercise is scheduled to take place from April 27 to April 30 at the Todorovo training ground. The central theme of this exercise involves the deployment of a convoy support centre to facilitate the movement of allied forces within the country. According to the Defence Ministry press service on Friday, up to 200 military personnel and up to 50 pieces of equipment from military units within the Logistics Support Command in Sofia and Lovech are expected to participate.
Preparations for the exercise include the transportation of personnel and military equipment via the national road network from Sofia and Lovech to the Todorovo vehicle depot near Pleven, scheduled for April 27 and 30. Additionally, logistical movements are planned for allied forces. On April 27 and 28, military personnel, vehicles, and supplies belonging to the Polish Armed Forces will traverse the national road network to participate in the NATO Tiger Meet 2026 exercise in Greece, with their return through Bulgaria slated for May 16 and 17.
Furthermore, between April 28 and May 1, rail convoys belonging to the Swedish armed forces are scheduled to pass through the country.
