Support 26-1 Military Exercise to Take Place from April 27 to 30

The Logistic Support 26-1 tactical-special exercise is scheduled to take place from April 27 to April 30 at the Todorovo training ground. The central theme of this exercise is the “Deployment of a convoy support centre to ensure the movement of allied forces within the country.” According to the Defence Ministry press service on Friday, up to 200 military personnel and up to 50 pieces of equipment from military units under the Logistics Support Command in Sofia and Lovech are expected to participate. Preparations for the exercise include transporting personnel and military equipment via the national road network from Sofia and Lovech to the Todorovo vehicle depot near Pleven, North Central Bulgaria, on April 27 and 30.

In related international movements, Polish Armed Forces personnel, vehicles, and supplies will be transported through the national road network on April 27 and 28 to participate in the NATO Tiger Meet 2026 exercise in Greece. Their return journey through Bulgaria is planned for May 16 and 17. Furthermore, Swedish armed forces rail convoys are scheduled to pass through the country between April 28 and May 1.

These ongoing movements underscore the logistical support capabilities and readiness of various military units operating within the region.
