41st Flora Burgas Exhibition to Open on May 1 Dedicated to Giro d’Italia

The 41st Flora Burgas flower exhibition is scheduled to commence on May 1. According to Miroslava Argirova, Manager of the Flora Exhibition Centre, the event will adopt a central theme dedicated to the Giro d’Italia 2026. Argirova informed BTA on Thursday that preparations for this year’s exhibition include an expansion of the traditional art installations, which will be presented in greater numbers than in previous years.

She confirmed significant industry participation, noting that the exhibition expects over 100 contributors from across the country. These participants represent various sectors, including flower distributors and suppliers of garden equipment. Reflecting the spirit of the upcoming cycling tour, the exhibition’s focus will be on compositions that promote an active lifestyle, movement, and cycling.

The structure of the theme mirrors the race itself, as the first stage of the Giro d’Italia is slated to begin in Nessebar and conclude in Burgas on May 8. The scope of the flora presentation is expected to be substantial, with thousands of plants scheduled to be displayed across the dedicated trade areas. The event aims to merge horticultural display with themes of physical activity, providing a comprehensive showcase for the Bulgarian gardening and floral industries.

Argirova emphasized that the entire event is designed to engage both professional buyers and the general public through its thematic connection to national sporting events.
