Leader Mihaylov: Results Are Fair and Represent Voters’ Choice

Ivelin Mihaylov, the leader of the Velichie party, addressed the recent early parliamentary election results in a statement published on his official Facebook page on Monday. Mihaylov asserted that the election results are fair and represent the will of the people. According to the figures reported, with 96.41% of the tally sheets processed, Velichie secured 3.12% of the votes, which falls below the 4% threshold required for entry into the National Assembly.

Speaking on the matter, Mihaylov suggested that the current distribution of votes is preferable, noting that the votes are better directed toward Rumen Radev. He announced a strategic shift for the party, stating that Velichie will transition into an organization dedicated solely to its registered members and core supporters. The leader criticized the current political landscape, asserting that the oligarchs currently wield absolute power, contrasting this with the party’s original vision of a state where knowledgeable citizens could prosper alongside ordinary people.

Mihaylov confirmed that the party will neither challenge Radev nor participate in the upcoming presidential elections. He further detailed that Velichie will undergo comprehensive restructuring, both politically and economically, with the objective of improving the welfare of its dedicated electorate. Mihaylov clarified that his subsequent actions would be taken not as a representative of the entire populace, but as an individual citizen.

He concluded by stating that the party’s focus is narrowing, moving from representing the entire public to serving a specific segment of its voters.
