Thracian Residence in Starosel Blends Mineral Water and Wine Therapies

The SPA Thracian Residence, situated within the Starosel Wine & Spa Complex in the Plovdiv Region, offers a combination of mineral water treatments and specialized wine-based wellness therapies. According to the hotel manager, the facility emphasizes utilizing natural cosmetics sourced directly from the complex’s vineyards. A key feature of the spa is its integration of local agricultural products into its treatments.

For instance, essential oils extracted from grape seeds are incorporated into massage oils, toning serums, and eye contour products, while crushed grape seed pulp is utilized in exfoliating preparations. The spa also provides procedures using wine mud sourced from the winery’s fermenters, offering antioxidant wine therapies, aromatherapy, and various relaxing rituals. Complementing these offerings are classic and therapeutic massages alongside comprehensive cosmetic treatments for the body and face.

The complex’s mineral water, which registers at approximately 54°C, provides recognized benefits for both the skin and the musculoskeletal system, aiding in detoxification, improving circulation, and supporting skin restoration. The wellness area is equipped with extensive facilities, including indoor and outdoor mineral pools, a saltwater pool with hydromassage jets, a contrast plunge pool, Finnish and aromatic saunas, steam baths, hammams, a snow room, a sun room, and a salt cave for halotherapy. The center employs a team of kinesiotherapists, rehabilitation specialists, and massage therapists.
