Centre at Ensana Aquahouse Hotel Develops New Anti-stress Programmes

The spa facility at Ensana Aquahouse Hotel, located in the Sts. Constantine and Helena resort near Varna on the Black Sea, is enhancing its offerings with new anti-stress programmes. Spa manager Nikolay Popov noted that these services primarily cater to working individuals seeking mental recuperation, with the core goal of mitigating chronic stress levels.

He explained that the fast pace of modern life often leads to accumulated mental tension; when the mind is overloaded without adequate physical activity, degenerative processes can occur. The spa’s services are popular across age groups, attracting even young professionals who face significant pressure in competitive environments. The manager emphasized that the new programmes utilize an individualized approach, designed to provide benefits that extend beyond the guest’s stay.

Mineral water therapy is highlighted for its ability to reduce tension by signaling the central nervous system to relax, resulting in measurable benefits such as a slower heart rate and decreased blood pressure. Furthermore, since late 2025, the Ensana Aquahouse has introduced a specialized underwater kinesiotherapy programme. This is designed for physical rehabilitation, assisting individuals who have undergone surgery, joint replacement, or who suffer from temporary loss of movement or coordination.

In a broader industry context, BTA is featuring certified spa, wellness, and medical spa centres across Bulgaria in its “BG SPA: Salus per aquam, Health Through Water” feature. This initiative, a collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and the Bulgarian Union of Balneology and SPA Tourism, is linked to the upcoming HEALTHXCHANGE SUMMIT in Varna, scheduled for May 11–13, 2026.
