The Central Election Commission (CEC) announced the final declarations regarding the placement of fourteen candidates who were elected across two multi-member constituencies (MMCs). The Deputy Chair of the CEC confirmed these decisions during a meeting on Friday. The CEC previously stated that thirteen candidates had been confirmed from two MMCs on Thursday.
The count increased to fourteen following a decision by a list leader, Katya Paneva, who finalized her selection of constituency. The announcement detailed which MMC each of the fourteen individuals intends to represent in the 52nd National Assembly. Specific shifts included Alexander Georgiev Pulev choosing MMC 27 – Stara Zagora over MMC 30 – Shumen; Ivan Petev Demerdzhiev opting for MMC 9 – Kardzhali instead of MMC 24 – Sofia.
Other changes noted were Rumen Georgiev Radev moving from MMC 2 to MMC 25 – Sofia, and Boyko Metodiev Borissov selecting MMC 16 – Plovdiv over MMC 25 – Sofia. Further reassignments included Delyan Aleksandrov Dobrev choosing MMC 24 – Sofia instead of MMC 29 – Haskovo, and Tomislav Peykov Donchev selecting MMC 7 – Gabrovo instead of MMC 23 – Sofia. The list encompassed choices for all fourteen individuals, covering shifts between constituencies such as MMC 1 – Blagoevgrad, MMC 9 – Kardzhali, and MMC 25 – Sofia.
The CEC is scheduled to release the complete roster of members for the 52nd National Assembly on Saturday. This follows the commission’s prior announcement regarding the distribution of seats among various political parties for the next parliamentary term.
