Candidates Elected in Two Constituencies Declare Which One They Will Represent

The Central Election Commission (CEC) confirmed the decisions of fourteen candidates who were elected across two Multi-Member Constituencies (MMCs) regarding which list they will represent in the 52nd National Assembly. The Deputy Chair of the CEC announced these determinations during a recent meeting. The CEC had previously stated that thirteen candidates were elected in two MMCs, with the fourteenth individual, Katya Paneva, becoming part of this group after a list leader finalized their representation.

These fourteen individuals have now formally declared their preferred constituency for entering the National Assembly. Several key shifts were announced, detailing where the representatives will draw their mandate from. For example, Alexander Georgiev Pulev selected to enter from MMC 27 – Stara Zagora, opting instead of MMC 30 – Shumen.

Similarly, Ivan Petev Demerdzhiev confirmed his entry from MMC 9 – Kardzhali rather than MMC 24 – Sofia. Other changes included Rumen Georgiev Radev choosing MMC 25 – Sofia over MMC 2 – Burgas, and Boyko Metodiev Borissov selecting MMC 16 – Plovdiv instead of MMC 25 – Sofia. The list of confirmed shifts included Delyan Aleksandrov Dobrev moving from MMC 29 – Haskovo to MMC 24 – Sofia, and Tsoncho Tomov Ganev opting for MMC 23 – Sofia instead of MMC 2 – Burgas.

The CEC is scheduled to release the complete roster of members for the 52nd National Assembly on Saturday. This follows a prior announcement from the commission detailing the distribution of seats among the various political parties for the next parliamentary term.
