The Bulgarian military is scheduled to host several significant logistical and multinational activities over the coming weeks. A key event is the Logistic Support 26-1 tactical-special exercise, set to take place from April 27 to April 30 at the Todorovo training ground. This exercise focuses on the deployment of a convoy support center designed to ensure the movement of allied forces within the country.
According to the Defence Ministry press service, the event will involve up to 200 military personnel and approximately 50 pieces of equipment drawn from units under the Logistics Support Command in Sofia and Lovech. In preparation for the exercise, logistical movements are planned for April 27 and 30, transporting personnel and military equipment via the national road network from Sofia and Lovech to the Todorovo vehicle depot near Pleven. Furthermore, the country will facilitate the passage of allied forces.
On April 27 and 28, personnel, vehicles, and supplies belonging to the Polish Armed Forces will travel through the national road network to participate in the NATO Tiger Meet 2026 exercise in Greece. These forces are expected to return through Bulgaria on May 16 and 17. Separately, between April 28 and May 1, rail convoys belonging to the armed forces of Sweden are also scheduled to pass through the country.
These planned exercises and transits underscore the continued focus on interoperability and robust military support capabilities across the region.
