The Logistics Support 26-1 tactical-special exercise is scheduled to take place from April 27 to April 30 at the Todorovo training ground. The primary objective of this exercise is to simulate the deployment of a convoy support center, ensuring the effective movement of allied forces within the country. According to the Defence Ministry press service, participants will include up to 200 military personnel and approximately 50 pieces of equipment drawn from the Logistics Support Command units in Sofia and Lovech.
In preparation for the event, personnel and military equipment will be transported via the national road network from Sofia and Lovech to the Todorovo vehicle depot near Pleven on April 27 and April 30. Furthermore, the region will host several international movements. On April 27 and 28, personnel, vehicles, and supplies belonging to the Polish Armed Forces will utilize the national road network.
These assets are en route to participate in the NATO Tiger Meet 2026 exercise in Greece, with their return trip scheduled for May 16 and 17. Additionally, between April 28 and May 1, rail convoys belonging to the Swedish armed forces are expected to pass through the country, demonstrating continued military logistical activity.
