The Logistic Support 26-1 tactical-special exercise is scheduled to take place from April 27 to April 30 at the Todorovo training ground. The central theme of this exercise is the “Deployment of a convoy support centre to ensure the movement of allied forces within the country.” According to the Defence Ministry press service on Friday, up to 200 military personnel and up to 50 pieces of equipment from military units under the Logistics Support Command in Sofia and Lovech will take part. In preparation for the exercise, personnel and military equipment will be moved via the national road network from Sofia and Lovech to the Todorovo vehicle depot near Pleven, North Central Bulgaria, on April 27 and April 30.
Additionally, military movements involving allied forces are planned. On April 27 and 28, personnel, vehicles, and supplies belonging to the Polish Armed Forces will be transported through the national road network for participation in the NATO Tiger Meet 2026 exercise in Greece. These forces are expected to return through Bulgaria on May 16 and 17.
Furthermore, between April 28 and May 1, rail convoys belonging to the Swedish armed forces will also transit through the country. These planned movements underscore the ongoing logistical support and multinational coordination within the region.
