The SPA Thracian Residence, located within the Starosel Wine & Spa Complex in the village of Starosel, Plovdiv Region, offers a combination of mineral water and specialized wine-based therapies. According to the hotel manager, Videlin Piskov, the facility emphasizes the use of natural cosmetics developed from the complex’s own vineyards. The spa incorporates unique products derived from the site, including essential oils extracted from grape seeds, which are utilized in massage oils, toning serums, and eye contour products.
Additionally, exfoliating treatments utilize crushed grape seed pulp. The spa provides various wine-based procedures, such as those using wine mud sourced from the winery’s fermenters, alongside antioxidant treatments and aromatherapy rituals. These services complement classic and therapeutic massages, as well as facial and body cosmetic treatments.
The complex’s mineral water is noted for its temperature of approximately 54°C, offering proven benefits for skin health and the musculoskeletal system by supporting detoxification and improving circulation. The spa staff includes kinesiotherapists, rehabilitation specialists, and massage therapists. Facilities at the Starosel complex are extensive, featuring indoor and outdoor mineral pools, a saltwater pool with hydromassage jets, a contrast plunge pool, Finnish and aromatic saunas, steam baths, hammams, a snow room, a sun room, and a salt cave for halotherapy.
