SPA Hotel in Razlog Reports Strong Interest from Visitors from Israel, Greece, Romania, North Macedonia

Petar Zahov, General Manager of the Katarino SPA Hotel in Razlog, reported increased visitor interest from several international markets, including Israel, Greece, Romania, and North Macedonia. While Bulgarian visitors remain the primary clientele, Zahov noted that this international demand reflects both sustained regional interest and established brand recognition across the Balkans and the Middle East. The hotel has received significant recognition, being ranked first among the top ten five-star mountain hotels in Bulgaria for 2025 for the second consecutive year.

This ranking is determined by the HotScore™ index, which assesses guest reviews and ratings from over 1,200 hotels nationwide. Furthermore, the Katarino SPA Hotel has accumulated several accolades, including recognition as the best four-star mountain spa hotel in 2020 and the best four-star spa hotel offering locally sourced cuisine in 2022. The hotel’s comprehensive spa centre provides guests with complimentary access to extensive thermal and relaxation facilities.

These amenities include indoor and outdoor pools heated to approximately 34°C, a cave-style jacuzzi, a salt room, and various saunas (Finnish, Kiva, and infrared). Additional features comprise an aroma and panoramic steam bath, a laconium, adventure showers, a tepidarium, and a panoramic relaxation area. For therapeutic treatments, the spa offers massages, hydrotherapy, and specialized therapies tailored for complete relaxation, recovery, and preventive care.

Options range from flotation and Cleopatra baths to deep-tissue and hot stone massages, alongside Eastern therapies for stress management. The facility continues to enhance its offerings, notably with the addition of a new outdoor pool and infinity jacuzzi in 2023, positioning it as a comprehensive wellness destination.
