Ismena SPA Complex has introduced outdoor thermal soaking pools filled with hot mineral water, which are among its newest relaxation amenities. These pools are noted as the first and only open-air mineral soaking facilities in Devin, operating year-round and generating significant visitor interest. The complex is designed as a four-season destination, blending modern architecture with traditional Rhodope Revival styles.
It utilizes healing mineral water sourced from the Bedenski spring across its various pools and treatments. According to the manager, Polina Boneva, Bulgarian tourists constitute the majority of guests, drawn to the tranquility of the Rhodope Mountains and the warm mineral waters. International visitors primarily originate from Germany, Israel, Russia, and the United Kingdom.
Guests often utilize the spa facilities for recovery and relaxation, particularly benefiting from the alkaline properties of the mineral water, which aid in skin cleansing, regeneration, and detoxification. Immersion in the mineral water is especially recommended for individuals with sedentary jobs or past injuries, as the heat and mineral composition help relax muscles and improve mobility without straining the heart. Spanning 17 decares, the complex includes hotel accommodations, guest houses, and landscaped park areas.
The spa center offers a range of amenities, including indoor and outdoor pools, saunas, steam baths, jacuzzis, and aromatic baths. For contrast therapy, guests can experience a shock pool at 5°C, which the team suggests improves circulation following sauna use. The menu also features specialized treatments like volcanic stone massage and magnesium massage, ensuring comprehensive rejuvenation options.
