The 52nd National Assembly commenced its session with the formal announcement of the six parliamentary groups, a process overseen by Parliament Chair Mihaela Dotsova during the inaugural sitting on Thursday. The six represented political factions are: Progressive Bulgaria, headed by leader Petar Vitanov, with deputy leaders including Galin Durev, Vladimir Nikolov, Slavi Vassilev, and Olga Borisova.
GERB-UDF is represented by Boyko Borissov as its floor leader, supported by deputy leaders Denitsa Sacheva, Kostadin Angelov, and Roumen Hristov. The Movement for Rights and Freedoms has Delyan Peevski as its floor leader, alongside deputies Ayten Sabri, Halil Letifov, Hamid Hamid, and Iskra Mihaylova-Koparova. The remaining groups include Democratic Bulgaria, whose leader is Nadejda Iordanova, supported by deputy leaders Bozhidar Bozhanov and Katya Paneva.
Continue the Change is led by Nikolay Denkov, with deputy leaders Ivaylo Shotev and Tatyana Sultanova-Siveva. Finally, Vazrazhdane is represented by Kostadin Kostadinov, with Peter Petrov serving as a deputy floor leader. Significantly, Continue the Change (CC) and Democratic Bulgaria (DB), which had campaigned together, announced a decision to form two separate parliamentary groups.
