The DianaMar Balneo Hotel in Pavel Banya is currently undergoing a comprehensive renovation of its spa center, according to General Manager Georgi Paunov. The upgrades are expected to include a new ice room addition to the existing salt rooms, steam baths, and saunas. Paunov noted that DianaMar serves as an extension of the Avicenna Medical Centre’s activities in the area.
The facility was notable for introducing high-level balneological services to the south-central town over a decade ago. The design and development of the complex draw inspiration from established European balneological resorts, such as Baden-Baden, Spa, Vichy, and Karlovy Vary. The medical team comprises specialists in physical and rehabilitation medicine, with coordination provided by Dr.
Miroslav Minev. All processes adhere strictly to medical standards and utilize specialized equipment. DianaMar offers advanced therapies including hyperbaric oxygenation, cryotherapy, focused high-intensity EMSELLA therapy, and focused shockwave therapy (FSWT).
These methods are utilized for treating medical conditions and aiding the recovery of active athletes. The facility integrates various natural and mechanical treatments with kinesitherapy, centering its focus on balneotherapy, leveraging the beneficial mineral composition of the water in Pavel Banya. As an operational hotel, DianaMar features 80 guest rooms and maintains high occupancy rates, attracting guests from Bulgaria and various international markets, including Kosovo, Albania, North Macedonia, Switzerland, and Austria.
