The spa centre at Ensana Aquahouse Hotel, located in the Sts. Constantine and Helena resort near Varna on the Black Sea, is expanding its offerings with new anti-stress programmes, according to spa manager Nikolay Popov. These services are primarily utilized by working professionals seeking mental recovery, with the programmes specifically designed to reduce chronic stress levels.
Popov noted that the increasingly fast pace of modern life contributes to accumulated mental tension, and when the mind is overloaded without adequate physical activity, it can lead to degenerative physical processes. The spa centre’s services attract patrons across all age groups. Even young individuals starting their careers seek anti-stress therapies due to the significant pressure of a competitive environment.
The programmes are structured with an individual approach, ensuring that guests can maintain the benefits of their care after their stay concludes. Mineral water therapy is highlighted for its role in tension reduction, as skin receptors signal relaxation to the central nervous system. This process results in a slower heart rate and decreased blood pressure, offering comprehensive physical and mental benefits.
Additionally, since the end of 2025, Ensana Aquahouse has introduced a specialized underwater kinesitherapy programme. This is intended for individuals recovering from surgery, joint replacement, or those managing neurodegenerative conditions or temporary mobility loss. These exercises are guided and supported by a kinesitherapist.
BTA features news from certified spa, wellness, and medical spa centres across Bulgaria in its “BG SPA: Salus per aquam, Health Through Water” segment.
