Centre at Ensana Aquahouse Hotel Develops New Anti-stress Programmes

The spa centre at Ensana Aquahouse Hotel, located in the Sts. Constantine and Helena resort near Varna on the Black Sea, is expanding its offerings with new anti-stress programmes. Spa manager Nikolay Popov noted that these services primarily cater to working individuals seeking mental recovery, with the core objective of reducing chronic stress levels.

He explained that the increasingly fast pace of modern life often leads to mental tension accumulation, which, when combined with physical inactivity, can contribute to degenerative bodily processes. The facility’s services are popular across all age groups. Even young professionals are utilizing anti-stress therapies due to the significant pressure inherent in today’s competitive environment.

The anti-stress programmes are designed with an individualized approach to ensure continued benefit after the guest departs the centre. Mineral water therapy is highlighted for its ability to reduce tension by signaling relaxation to the central nervous system, resulting in a beneficial decrease in heart rate and blood pressure. Furthermore, since late 2025, Ensana Aquahouse has introduced a specialized underwater kinesiotherapy programme.

This is aimed at restoring physical function for individuals who have undergone surgery, joint replacement, or who manage neurodegenerative conditions or temporary mobility issues. Popov stated that a kinesiotherapist actively guides and assists movements during these sessions. In a broader context, BTA reports on over 200 certified spa, wellness, and medical spa centres throughout Bulgaria under its “BG SPA: Salus per aquam, Health Through Water” feature.

This initiative is connected to the HEALTHXCHANGE SUMMIT, scheduled for May 11–13, 2026, in several Bulgarian locations, for which BTA serves as the main media partner.
