Rosslyn Dimyat Hotel Varna has reopened its thermal zone to welcome guests following extensive renovations, according to the hotel’s manager, Vanya Atanasova. The upgrades included replacements of the flooring, air conditioning, and ventilation systems, enhancing all available facilities. Atanasova noted a significant increase in demand for wellness services since the pandemic.
She observed that these services are now sought after not only by international visitors but increasingly by Bulgarian residents. Many people are dedicating time for relaxation before or after their workday, prompting the center to extend its opening hours to begin at 7 a.m. Due to high local interest, instructor-led water aerobics classes have resumed, with the first sessions commencing at 7:30 a.m., drawing many local residents before work.
The hotel’s saunas and fitness areas continue to draw consistent numbers of visitors, and guests frequently utilize the relaxation area and adventure showers. A notable feature is the ice fountain, whose maintenance has presented challenges recently due to reduced flake ice generator production. According to Atanasova, the growing interest reflects a heightened public awareness regarding the value of proactive health care.
Furthermore, business travelers are increasingly engaging with spa services, particularly when these amenities are incorporated into the accommodation price at the Dimyat hotel. BTA also highlights the broader health tourism sector in Bulgaria, featuring over 200 certified SPA, wellness, and medical SPA centers. This initiative is linked to Europe’s major health tourism event, the HEALTHXCHANGE SUMMIT, scheduled for May 11–13, 2026, in Varna, Sts.
Constantine and Helena, Golden Sands, and Albena.
