The Central Election Commission (CEC) released preliminary results from the parliamentary elections held on April 19. These figures are based on the processing of 97.52% of the tally sheets by the section election commissions, which were subsequently processed at the constituency election commissions as of 12 p.m. on Monday.
The CEC confirmed which parties and coalitions have crossed the stipulated 4% electoral threshold. This marks the eighth parliamentary election in Bulgaria since 2021. According to the Election Code, the CEC is required to announce the total votes received and the subsequent distribution of seats among all participating parties and coalitions no later than four days following the election day.
Furthermore, the names of the elected Members of Parliament must be published no later than seven days after the election. The preliminary announcement provides an initial overview of the electoral outcome. The final determination of the mandate distribution and the formal declaration of elected representatives will follow within the specified legal timelines set by the election commission.
