The Central Election Commission (CEC) released preliminary results from the parliamentary elections held on April 19. These initial findings are based on the processing of 91.68% of the tally sheets by the section election commissions, as compiled at the constituency election commissions by 10:00 AM on Monday. The CEC is responsible for announcing the final vote counts and the subsequent distribution of parliamentary seats among parties and coalitions.

According to the Election Code, this announcement must occur no later than four days following the election date. Furthermore, the names of the elected Members of Parliament are required to be published within seven days after the election. These elections marked the eighth parliamentary cycle in Bulgaria since 2021.

Preliminary data indicates which parties and coalitions have surpassed the mandated 4% electoral threshold. The ongoing processing of the tally sheets by the various election commissions is crucial to establishing the final composition of the legislature. The CEC continues to manage this process, ensuring that all processed tally sheets contribute to the final declaration of results.
