The Innsbruck-based folk dance ensemble, SamoDivi, is scheduled to participate in the 11th edition of the traveling festival, Expats Join Hands in Worldwide Dance. The event will take place at Munich’s BMW Park from May 15 to 17. This marks the third consecutive appearance for the group, which will perform their routine, “Zaludo Libe Kitka ne Davaydance.”
The SamoDivi team stated that the preparation for the performance is proceeding with enthusiasm.
The ensemble reports rehearsing twice weekly while focusing on costume details. SamoDivi is described as a small, cohesive group comprising dancers from various generations. For the members, folklore is presented not only as a performance art but as a vital cultural connection, a sense of belonging that unites them regardless of their global location.
The group expressed anticipation about sharing this cultural expression on stage in Munich. The Expats Join Hands in Worldwide Dance festival is dedicated to supporting amateur folklore ensemble groups performing outside of Bulgaria. The initiative was established by the Ot Izvora group in Lyon, France, which previously hosted the first edition in 2015 and the tenth edition in 2025.
For the 11th iteration in Munich, organizers anticipate attendance from over 100 dance groups and more than 4,000 guests. The Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) has been designated as the official media partner for the event, responsible for presenting all participating groups.
