The Innsbruck-based folk dance ensemble SamoDivi is scheduled to participate in the 11th edition of the traveling festival, Expats Join Hands in Worldwide Dance. The event will take place at Munich’s BMW Park from May 15 to May 17. For their third consecutive appearance, the SamoDivi ensemble will perform “Zaludo Libe Kitka ne Davaydance,” aiming to convey the vibrant emotion that connects its members regardless of their location.
The group has reported enthusiastic preparations, maintaining a rigorous schedule of twice-weekly rehearsals while focusing on costume details. SamoDivi is described as a small yet cohesive group featuring dancers spanning multiple generations. For the performers, folklore transcends mere dance; it represents a profound bond, a sense of home, and a means of maintaining connection across the globe.
The team expressed anticipation for sharing this emotion on stage in Munich. The Expats Join Hands in Worldwide Dance festival is dedicated to amateur folklore ensemble groups performing outside of Bulgaria. The initiative was established by the Ot Izvora group in Lyon, France, which hosted both the inaugural edition in 2015 and the tenth edition in 2025.
The 11th edition in Munich anticipates participation from over 100 dance groups and an attendance of more than 4,000 guests. The Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) serves as the official media partner for the festival, responsible for presenting all participating groups.
