Grand Hotel Knyaz Pavel is undertaking a significant expansion of its spa facility in Pavel Banya, according to General Manager Georgi Paunov. The project is scheduled for completion by year-end and is designed to increase the complex’s overall capacity. The new additions will feature amenities such as an adventure trail, a salt room, a storm room, a Himalayan sauna, an ice room, and mineral-water infinity pools.
The hotel’s medical centre is certified to provide a comprehensive range of rehabilitation treatments, allowing for the management of various conditions, including degenerative joint diseases, peripheral nervous system disorders, and post-surgical rehabilitation. Managed by Dr. Miroslav Minev, the centre utilizes modern physical therapy, including hydrotherapy in a specialized pool, multifunctional hydro-massage tubs, kinesiotherapy, and various thermotherapy treatments.
The spa area itself offers relaxation amenities like a Kneipp path, saltwater jacuzzi, steam baths, Turkish bath, and multiple saunas. In addition to spa enhancements, the hotel has expanded its conference capabilities by constructing a second hall and renovating the existing one, raising the total event capacity to 400 people, supporting the development of conference tourism. BTA reports on certified wellness and medical spa centres across Bulgaria through its “BG SPA: Salus per aquam” feature, noting that the total number of such facilities exceeds 200.
This initiative is connected to Europe’s major health tourism event, the HEALTHXCHANGE SUMMIT, scheduled for Varna in 2026.
