Hotel Knyaz Pavel Expands Its Spa Centre with New Building in Pavel Banya

The Grand Hotel Knyaz Pavel is undertaking a significant expansion of its spa facilities in Pavel Banya, according to General Manager Georgi Paunov. The development is scheduled for completion by the end of the year and will substantially increase the complex’s overall capacity. The new sections are set to include additional relaxation rooms, a salt room, a storm room, an adventure trail, a Himalayan sauna, an ice room, and infinity pools featuring mineral water.

The hotel’s medical centre is fully licensed to utilize mineral water and is certified to deliver a comprehensive range of rehabilitation treatments. Paunov noted that this allows for the management of various conditions, including degenerative joint diseases, peripheral nervous system disorders, post-traumatic issues, and rheumatological diseases. The medical centre, overseen by Dr.

Miroslav Minev, employs specialists in physical and rehabilitation medicine, neurology, and kinesiotherapy. Treatments encompass hydrotherapy in specialized pools, multifunctional hydro-massage tubs, kinesiotherapy, thermotherapy, and physical therapy. The spa amenities are extensive, featuring a 32°C outdoor pool with contrasting temperature zones, a 36°C multi-purpose indoor pool, a Kneipp path, and various thermal experiences, including Turkish baths and multiple saunas.

Furthermore, the hotel recently completed the construction of a second conference hall, boosting its total event capacity to 400 people as part of its strategy for developing conference tourism. In parallel developments, BTA highlights Bulgaria’s wellness sector through its “BG SPA: Salus per aquam” feature, showcasing over 200 certified spa, wellness, and medical spa centres across the country. This initiative is connected to the major European health tourism event, the HEALTHXCHANGE SUMMIT, scheduled for 2026.
