The Grand Hotel Knyaz Pavel is undertaking a significant construction project to expand its spa centre in Pavel Banya, according to General Manager Georgi Paunov. The expansion is scheduled for completion by the end of the year, which will increase the complex’s overall capacity. The new facilities will include additional relaxation rooms, a salt room, a storm room, an adventure trail, a Himalayan sauna, an ice room, and infinity pools utilizing mineral water.
The hotel’s medical centre is certified to provide a comprehensive range of rehabilitation treatments. Paunov noted that the centre addresses various conditions, including degenerative joint diseases, peripheral nervous system disorders, post-traumatic conditions, and rheumatological issues. The medical team specializes in physical and rehabilitation medicine, neurology, and kinesiotherapy.
The spa’s amenities are extensive, featuring a heated outdoor pool at 32°C, a 38°C panoramic jacuzzi, and a 36°C indoor multi-purpose pool. The relaxation area also incorporates a Kneipp path, saltwater jacuzzi, and various saunas. Beyond wellness, the hotel is enhancing its conference capabilities.
A second conference hall has been constructed, and the existing one renovated, bringing the total event capacity to 400 people, supporting the development of conference tourism. In a related capacity, BTA highlights the region’s robust tourism sector through its “BG SPA: Salus per aquam” feature, showcasing over 200 certified spa, wellness, and medical spa centres across Bulgaria. This initiative is linked to the international HEALTHXCHANGE SUMMIT, scheduled for May 2026 in several Bulgarian locations.
