Leader Mihaylov: Results Are Fair and Represent Voters’ Choice

Ivelin Mihaylov, the leader of the Velichie party, addressed the early parliamentary election results in a statement published on his official Facebook page on Monday. Mihaylov asserted that the election outcomes were fair and represented the will of the electorate. According to the reported figures, with 96.41% of the tally sheets processed, Velichie secured 3.12% of the vote, remaining below the 4% threshold required for entry into the National Assembly.

The leader stated that achieving representation at that level would be ineffective, suggesting that voters’ support might be better directed toward Rumen Radev. Consequently, Mihaylov announced that the party would refocus its efforts on becoming a dedicated entity for its core members and committed supporters. Mihaylov criticized the current political environment, arguing that the influence of oligarchs has become absolute, contrasting this with Velichie’s original vision of a state where knowledgeable citizens could thrive.

He cautioned that the party’s future advocacy would be limited to protecting its electorate rather than advocating for broader societal protection. Furthermore, the leader confirmed that Velichie would not contest the upcoming presidential elections nor challenge Radev. Mihaylov detailed plans for significant restructuring within the party, both economically and politically, aiming to improve conditions for its base.

He concluded by noting a shift in representation, stating that the party’s focus was changing from representing “the entire people” to serving a specific segment of the population.
