Nessebar Municipality has announced a comprehensive cultural and sporting programme in anticipation of the Giro d’Italia 2026, which is scheduled to commence on May 8. According to the municipality’s press centre on Friday, the festivities will begin the day prior, on May 7. The initial day’s activities will feature a bazaar set up in Mesambria Square, followed by an amateur cycling tour through the seaside town, starting at 10 a.m.
The evening’s programme includes performances by local groups at the Yana Laskova National Community Centre. Additionally, the Old Town’s fortress walls will host a concert featuring the trio VIVA and the rock group B.T.R. Following the musical events, the municipality is also arranging a fireworks display.
On the day the Giro d’Italia starts, May 8, the municipality will organize a cross-country race that will follow the official race route. These preparatory events are part of the municipality’s efforts to celebrate the arrival of the major cycling event. The overall programme aims to engage residents and visitors alike, combining sporting activities with cultural concerts and festivities organized by the local municipality.
