The Nessebar municipality has announced a comprehensive cultural and sporting schedule in preparation for the arrival of the Giro d’Italia 2026, which is scheduled to commence on May 8. According to the municipality’s press centre, a detailed programme of events has been organized to mark the occasion. The preparatory activities are set to begin on May 7.
The day’s events will start with a bazaar held in Mesambria Square, followed by an amateur cycling tour of the coastal area beginning at 10:00 a.m. The evening features several scheduled entertainment events. Attendees can enjoy a performance by various groups at the Yana Laskova National Community Centre.
Furthermore, the Old Town will host a series of concerts, featuring the trio VIVA and the rock group B.T.R., staged in front of the historic fortress walls. The day’s festivities will conclude with a fireworks display organized by the municipality. On the primary day of the cycling event, May 8, the municipality will complement the start of the Giro d’Italia with a dedicated cross-country race held along the official race route.
This multi-day schedule of concerts and sporting activities is designed to engage residents and visitors alike as the region prepares for the major international cycling event.
