Support 26-1 Military Exercise to Take Place from April 27 to 30

The Logistic Support 26-1 tactical-special exercise is scheduled to take place from April 27 to April 30 at the Todorovo training ground. The central theme of this military exercise is the “Deployment of a convoy support centre to ensure the movement of allied forces within the country.” According to the Defence Ministry press service on Friday, approximately 200 military personnel and up to 50 pieces of equipment from units under the Logistics Support Command in Sofia and Lovech will participate. Preparations for the exercise involve transporting personnel and equipment via the national road network on April 27 and 30, moving them from Sofia and Lovech to the Todorovo vehicle depot near Pleven in North Central Bulgaria.

In related international movements, Polish Armed Forces personnel, vehicles, and supplies will be transported through the national road network on April 27 and 28. This movement is in preparation for their participation in the NATO Tiger Meet 2026 exercise in Greece, with their return journey scheduled for May 16 and 17 through Bulgaria. Additionally, rail convoys belonging to the Swedish armed forces are expected to pass through the country between April 28 and May 1.

These activities underscore ongoing multinational logistical support and readiness within the region.
