During its meeting on Sunday, the National Council of Continue the Change (CC) issued directives to its elected Members of Parliament. The Council instructed its representatives to advance swiftly and effectively on two primary fronts: the selection of a new Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) and the passage of a comprehensive package of anti-crisis measures intended to support businesses and stabilize people’s incomes within the 2026 budget framework. Furthermore, the Council reaffirmed the commitment previously established with the Forum for Democratic Action regarding the nomination of a joint presidential candidate.
In line with this, the party’s Executive Council was tasked with proposing a candidate as part of the ongoing nomination process. This collaborative effort stems from an agreement signed on December 1, 2025, between the parliamentary parties comprising the Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria coalition (which includes Democrats for a Strong Bulgaria and Yes, Bulgaria) and the Forum for Democratic Action, solidifying a single candidate slate for the upcoming election. Regarding its broader platform, the National Council also confirmed CC’s ongoing positioning as a centrist political entity.
The party’s stated focus areas remain centered on improving education, enhancing healthcare services, supporting increased people’s incomes, and promoting economic development, all while maintaining a commitment to avoiding tax increases. These directives set the immediate legislative and political agenda for the party as it prepares for the electoral cycle.
