Therapies, Hammam Rituals Draw Interest at Astor Garden, Aqua House Thermal & Beach near Varna

Eastern therapies and hammam rituals are drawing significant guest interest at the Astor Garden Hotel, according to SPA Manager Nikolay Popov. The hotel’s affiliation with the Aqua House Thermal & Beach complex allows it to continually enhance its offerings, responding to modern guests’ demand for diverse and enriching experiences focused on overall well-being. Popov noted that the complex provides comprehensive options for both physical and mental restoration.

Beyond specialized beauty treatments and tailored packages, guests can utilize various pools, including facilities for lap swimming. Regarding specific treatments, massage programs require careful consideration for clients recovering from cosmetic procedures; in such cases, high humidity and steam, which affect hammam rituals, should be avoided. While traditional massages remain an option, certain approaches derived from Chinese medicine may still be suitable.

Aromatherapy is a particularly popular choice due to its rapid systemic effects, and guests also benefit from mud therapy. Furthermore, the management is considering introducing algae-based treatments, leveraging the natural health benefits of seaweed. Complementing these services, BTA highlights Bulgaria’s robust wellness sector through its “BG SPA: Salus per aquam” feature, which covers over 200 certified spa and medical centers.

This initiative is connected to Europe’s major health tourism event, the HEALTHXCHANGE SUMMIT, scheduled for May 11–13, 2026, across Varna, Sts. Constantine and Helena, Golden Sands, and Albena. BTA is serving as the primary media partner for this upcoming summit.
