Thracian Residence in Starosel Blends Mineral Water and Wine Therapies

The SPA Thracian Residence, situated within the Starosel Wine & Spa Complex in Starosel, Plovdiv Region, integrates mineral water treatments with specialized wine-based therapies. According to the hotel manager, the center emphasizes the use of natural cosmetics sourced directly from the complex’s vineyards. The facility incorporates various products derived from the local grape harvest.

These include essential oils extracted from grape seeds, which are utilized in massage oils, toning serums, and eye contour products. Additionally, crushed grape seed pulp is incorporated into exfoliating treatments. The spa offers distinct wine-based procedures, including antioxidant therapies, aromatherapy, and relaxing rituals, alongside classic and therapeutic massages for both body and face.

A key feature is the mineral water within the complex, which maintains a temperature of approximately 54°C. This mineral source is noted for its benefits to the skin and the musculoskeletal system, supporting detoxification, improving circulation, and aiding skin restoration. The spa area is equipped with comprehensive facilities, including indoor and outdoor mineral pools, a saltwater pool with hydromassage jets, a plunge pool, Finnish and aromatic saunas, steam baths, hammams, a snow room, a sun room, and a salt cave for halotherapy.

The complex employs kinesiotherapists, rehabilitation specialists, and massage therapists to deliver its services. While Bulgarian visitors form the primary clientele during the autumn, winter, and spring seasons, international tourism increases in the summer. The manager noted that the largest segment of international visitors originates from Germany, Turkiye, Romania, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg.
