Thracian Residence in Starosel Blends Mineral Water and Wine Therapies

The SPA Thracian Residence, situated within the Starosel Wine & Spa Complex in the village of Starosel, Plovdiv Region, integrates healing mineral water treatments with specialized wine-based therapies. According to the hotel manager, the center emphasizes the use of natural cosmetics derived directly from the complex’s own vineyards. These unique local ingredients are incorporated across various treatments; for instance, essential oils extracted from grape seeds are used in massage oils and toning serums, while crushed grape seed pulp is utilized in exfoliating products.

The spa offers comprehensive wine-based procedures, including treatments utilizing wine mud sourced from the winery’s fermenters. These therapies encompass antioxidant wine treatments, aromatherapy sessions, and relaxing rituals, alongside standard massages and cosmetic facials. Complementing these offerings is the complex’s mineral water, which maintains a temperature of approximately 54°C.

This water is noted for its benefits to the skin and musculoskeletal system, aiding in detoxification and improving circulation. The facility is equipped with extensive amenities, including indoor and outdoor mineral pools, a saltwater pool with hydromassage jets, a contrast plunge pool, Finnish and aromatic saunas, steam baths, hammams, a snow room, and a salt cave for halotherapy. The center employs a team of kinesiotherapists, rehabilitation specialists, and massage therapists to support client wellness.

While Bulgarian visitors form the primary clientele during the autumn, winter, and spring seasons, the influx of international guests increases during the summer months, with major visitor sources including Germany, Turkiye, Romania, the United Kingdom, and others.
