Will Be Constructive, Responsible Opposition

During the inaugural session of the 52nd National Assembly, Ayten Sabri MP of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) stated that the party intends to serve as a constructive and responsible opposition. She affirmed that the MRF will support any policy deemed beneficial to the rights and freedoms of Bulgarian citizens and the State. However, Sabri added that the party will also act as a principled corrective force when governance deviates from standards of transparency, legality, democracy, or human rights.

Addressing the current domestic and international climate, Sabri emphasized that Bulgaria requires a clear and sustainable policy direction. She outlined several key priorities for the MRF, including improving the quality of life and standard of living, ensuring economic stability and growth through modernization of agriculture, guaranteeing food safety, and mitigating social and regional disparities. Furthermore, the party aims to support young families, preserve traditional values, and advance Bulgaria’s integration into the EU, while maintaining partnerships with the US and the Euro-Atlantic community.

Sabri stated that the MRF’s actions will be guided by the principle of upholding the liberty, justice, and equality of every citizen. She stressed that this approach is necessary to move beyond confrontation and restore a culture of political dialogue focused on common public interest solutions. She concluded by urging the Parliament to exemplify political maturity, asserting that the mandate requires building consensus rather than division on critical issues for Bulgaria’s future.
