Leader Mihaylov: Results Are Fair and Represent Voters’ Choice

Ivelin Mihaylov, the leader of the Velichie party, addressed the early parliamentary election results in a statement released on Monday via his official Facebook page and the “Free Voice” YouTube channel. Mihaylov stated that the party accepts the outcome, noting that the results reflect the current vote of the electorate. According to the figures presented, with 96.41% of the tally sheets processed, Velichie secured 3.12% of the total votes, falling below the 4% threshold required for representation in the National Assembly.

Addressing the implications of these results, the leader suggested that a low percentage would negate any potential influence. Mihaylov indicated that the party would pivot its focus, stating its intention to function primarily as a political entity dedicated to its core membership and dedicated supporters. The leader reiterated the party’s foundational goal: establishing a state where capable individuals could thrive, ensuring equal rights for the general populace and established business interests.

However, Mihaylov noted a perceived shift in the current political climate, suggesting that the influence of oligarchs had increased significantly. Consequently, he advised that the Velichie party would henceforth concentrate solely on defending the interests of its specific electorate rather than advocating for broader national causes. Furthermore, Mihaylov confirmed that the party would not participate in the upcoming presidential elections nor would it engage in political challenges against Rumen Radev.

He announced that the Velichie party would undergo comprehensive economic and political restructuring to better serve its established base. Mihaylov concluded by clarifying that his future actions would be viewed as those of a private citizen rather than a representative official, marking a definitive shift in the party’s operational scope.
