A significant component of the decision involves developing a “roadmap for the creation of a unified democratic centre-right political entity,” a plan intended to involve not only current coalition members but potentially external political participants. The National Council also directed the party’s Executive Council to prepare for the upcoming presidential elections, prioritizing efforts to secure support for a common democratic centre-right candidate swiftly.
Furthermore, the decision established specific legislative priorities for “Yes, Bulgaria” members of parliament in the new legislature. These priorities include maintaining a clear opposition stance against excessive centralization of power, proposing right-wing fiscal measures within the draft state budget, and introducing a new Judiciary Act with updated selection criteria for the Supreme Judicial Council. Other key objectives involve advancing anti-corruption legislation, calling for the removal of state security protection for GERB leader Boyko Borissov and MVF leader Delyan Peevski, and implementing measures to prevent the misuse of funds from the National Health Insurance Fund, such as requiring private hospitals to conduct public tenders for medicines.
