Services Reports Record Election Day Video Coverage and Engagement

Information Services reported on Monday that it provided comprehensive live broadcasting and video recordings for the ballot counting following Bulgaria’s early parliamentary election on April 19. The company confirmed that video coverage reached 11,635 voting sections, representing 99.83% of all section election commissions (SECs) requiring video broadcasting. This figure marks a record high, surpassing the number of commissions from the previous election in October 2024.

The video surveillance platform maintained by Information Services saw significant public engagement, logging over 310,000 users after election day—a 164% increase compared to prior elections. A total of 11,493 sections broadcast the live counting process, also establishing a record for video coverage. In terms of operational efficiency, Information Services stated that its team completed the computer processing and rechecking of tally sheets by April 21, significantly preceding the deadlines stipulated by the Election Code.

To support the electoral process, the company deployed several technological services. They developed the mobile application eProtocol, which aids civic oversight and validates data from SEC tally sheets, helping to reduce preparation errors. Furthermore, for this latest election, Information Services created an interactive visualization tool detailing the methodology for calculating results and allocating mandates.

The company highlighted that its commitment to high-quality services ensured the electoral process remained transparent and timely. The successful deployment of video monitoring and advanced technological support underscored the breadth of services provided throughout the entire election cycle.
