Bulgarian Tourists Choose Ismena SPA Complex in Devin

Outdoor thermal soaking pools filled with hot mineral water represent a key addition to the Ismena SPA Complex. According to the manager, Polina Boneva, these open-air mineral soaking pools are unique to Devin, operating year-round and attracting significant visitor interest. The complex is designed as a four-season destination, merging modern architecture with the aesthetic of traditional Rhodope Revival homes, and offering various therapeutic treatments utilizing mineral-rich water from the Bedenski spring.

The majority of guests are Bulgarian tourists, drawn by the tranquility of the Rhodope Mountains and the mineral waters. International visitors primarily originate from Germany, Israel, Russia, and the United Kingdom. Guests frequently seek water-based therapies for relaxation and recovery.

The mineral water’s alkaline properties are noted for their ability to cleanse the skin, stimulate regeneration, and aid detoxification. Immersion in the mineral water is particularly recommended for individuals with sedentary occupations or past injuries, as the heat and composition relax muscles and improve mobility without straining the heart. Spanning 17 decares, the complex includes hotel accommodations, guest houses, and landscaped park areas.

The spa center facilities are extensive, featuring both indoor and outdoor pools, alongside amenities such as saunas, steam baths, jacuzzis, and aromatic baths. In addition to the hot soaking pools, guests can experience contrast therapy in a 5°C shock pool, which is designed to enhance circulation after a session in the sauna. The spa menu also provides options like volcanic stone massage and restorative magnesium massage for comprehensive rejuvenation.

The broader initiative promoting certified spa, wellness, and medical spa centers in Bulgaria, featuring over 200 facilities, is linked to the international HEALTHXCHANGE
