The entire complex is designed as a four-season destination, blending modern architecture with traditional Rhodope Revival styles.
It offers various spa pools and treatments utilizing mineral water sourced from the Bedenski spring. Boneva stated that Bulgarian tourists constitute the majority of guests, drawn by the tranquility of the Rhodope Mountains and the warm mineral waters. International visitors frequently arrive from Germany, Israel, Russia, and the United Kingdom.
Many tourists seek water-based therapies for recovery and relaxation, benefiting from the mineral water’s alkaline properties which aid in skin cleansing, regeneration, and detoxification. The complex recommends immersion in the mineral water for individuals with sedentary jobs or past injuries, as the heat and mineral composition help relax muscles and improve mobility without stressing the heart. Spanning 17 decares, the Ismena complex includes a hotel section, 15 guest houses, and landscaped park areas.
The spa center facilities are comprehensive, featuring indoor and outdoor pools, alongside a sauna, steam bath, Finnish sauna, jacuzzi, and aromatic baths. In addition to the hot soaking pools, guests can undergo contrast therapy in a 5°C shock pool. The spa menu also features treatments such as volcanic stone massage and restorative magnesium massage, providing diverse options for rejuvenation.
