Candidates Elected in Two Constituencies Declare Which One They Will Represent

The Central Election Commission (CEC) announced the finalized list of preferences for candidates who were elected in two separate multi-member constituencies (MMCs) and must now select their entry point into the 52nd National Assembly. The Deputy Chair of the CEC confirmed that a total of 14 individuals have declared which list they will represent. The CEC previously reported that 13 candidates had been elected across two MMCs, with the count increasing to 14 following a decision by a list leader.

These 14 candidates are now formally stating their preferred constituency for their seat. Several specific changes were detailed during the CEC meeting. For instance, Alexander Georgiev Pulev opted to enter from MMC 27 – Stara Zagora rather than MMC 30 – Shumen.

Similarly, Ivan Petev Demerdzhiev selected MMC 9 – Kardzhali over MMC 24 – Sofia, and Rumen Georgiev Radev chose MMC 25 – Sofia instead of MMC 2 – Burgas. Other candidates making adjustments include Boyko Metodiev Borissov, who moved from MMC 16 – Plovdiv to replace a seat in MMC 25 – Sofia. Delyan Aleksandrov Dobrev chose MMC 24 – Sofia instead of MMC 29 – Haskovo, while Tomislav Peykov Donchev moved from MMC 7 – Gabrovo to replace a seat in MMC 23 – Sofia.

The declaration process covered numerous shifts, including Nikolay Denkov Denkov preferring MMC 1 – Blagoevgrad over MMC 23 – Sofia, and Dimitar Ivanov Avramov selecting MMC 15 – Pleven over MMC 12 – Montana. The CEC is scheduled to release the complete roster of members for the 52nd National Assembly on Saturday. Previously, the commission had also provided an announcement detailing the distribution of seats among various political parties for the upcoming parliament.
