Centre at Ensana Aquahouse Hotel Develops New Anti-stress Programmes

The spa centre at Ensana Aquahouse Hotel, located in the Sts. Constantine and Helena resort near Varna on the Black Sea, is developing advanced anti-stress programmes. According to spa manager Nikolay Popov, these services primarily cater to working individuals seeking mental recuperation, aiming to mitigate chronic stress levels.

He noted that the fast pace of contemporary life often leads to accumulated mental tension, which, when combined with physical inactivity, can contribute to degenerative bodily processes. The facility’s offerings appeal to all age groups. The manager specified that even early-career young adults seek these anti-stress therapies due to the significant pressure within competitive professional environments.

The programmes are designed with an individual approach to ensure benefits continue after a guest’s stay concludes. Mineral water is highlighted for its ability to reduce tension by signaling the central nervous system to relax, which subsequently lowers heart rate and blood pressure. Furthermore, since late 2025, Ensana Aquahouse has introduced specialized underwater kinesiotherapy programmes.

This service targets the restoration of physical function following surgery, joint replacement, or in cases of neurodegenerative or temporary mobility impairment. A kinesiotherapist guides and assists movements during these sessions. BTA features these certified spa, wellness, and medical spa centres across Bulgaria in its “BG SPA: Salus per aquam, Health Through Water” feature, representing over 200 facilities.

This initiative is connected to Europe’s major health tourism event, the HEALTHXCHANGE SUMMIT, scheduled for May 11 to 13, 2026, across Varna, Sts. Constantine and Helena, Golden Sands, and Albena.
