Following these reports, acting Prime Minister Andrey Gurov issued a video statement characterizing the situation as a “shameful attempt at revanchism.” Gurov noted that following actions taken to curb attacks on democracy and secure funds intended to undermine elections, a conspiracy against the Secretary General had reportedly begun.
Dechev publicly expressed his full support for Kandev, stating he had no doubt regarding his integrity.
