Macedonia’s President Congratulates Rumen Radev on Election Victory

North Macedonia’s President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova extended congratulations to Rumen Radev following his victory in the parliamentary elections held on April 19. Speaking after attending the Conference of Presidents and Speakers of Parliaments of the Adriatic & Ionian Initiative in Skopje, the President expressed wishes for success and emphasized the necessity of a cohesive regional approach. During her remarks, Siljanovska-Davkova stated that she had communicated with Radev after the election results and subsequently received a call from him. She noted that she conveyed her belief that such strong support serves as a guarantee of stability, suggesting that Bulgarian citizens likely view him as a stabilizing force for the country. She added that this support could facilitate his efforts to form a government and advance his platform, indicating her anticipation of arranging a future meeting.
